Netbase is a Silicon Valley headquartered, pre-IPO social media analytics and social media listening vendor. Having built up a successful team in the US, they looked to expand globally and open their London office in 2015.
For Netbase, their first European hires were extremely important to ensure a strong start to their growth over in a new territory. Initially, they wanted to hire two sales directors and a multilingual pre-sales engineer in London as well as sales director in Paris.
Finlay James provided a full managed service to Netbase; arranging a first round of calls prior to the Head of Sales and Pre-Sales Manager flying over from the USA to interview.
Finlay James planned two full days of interviews in London for the Netbase representatives to meet with the shortlisted candidates, who were headhunted from direct competitors of Netbase.
From taking the initial job specification to an offer being accepted, the process was completed in one month meaning that Netbase were able to quickly onboard their new starters and begin their venture in the new territory.
Netbase’s London office is now open with the team getting off to a successful start; so much so, Finlay James has since added additional team members including two Social Media Analysts and an Account Manager.
Not only that, but Netbase has trusted Finlay James to also find further sales talent in their Paris office, placing a Channel Sales Manager as well as senior sales hires in New York and San Francisco.
