Finlay James

Axios Case Study

Finlay James' professional work and good knowledge in the market helped us to get the right people.

– Axios

The Challenge

Axios Systems is a provider of Service Desk, IT Service Management and IT Asset Management software. The “assyst” enterprise application suite was one of the first to support IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.

The company has a customer base from the Fortune 50, Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 lists. Worldwide, Axios Systems has more than 1,000 customers and typically targets organisations with at least 1,000 IT users.

As part of their growth strategy, the DACH region was a critical territory in terms of development, and Finlay James was tasked with finding sales professionals for two key locations: Munich & Switzerland. The Director for the DACH region elected to utilise Finlay James exclusively to fulfil these needs.

The Solution

By engaging in extensive communication, Finlay James were able to gain a thorough understanding of Axios’ needs, and went on to devise a strategic territory-specific headhunt approach to the market.

The exclusive service meant that we were able to provide a passive market approach. We looked for the best people full stop rather than the best person on the market right now; ‘deep dive’ headhunting, as we searched all layers of talent.

Furthermore Axios’ brand remained intact as we educated the market as to the benefits of their brand, which remained consistent with every candidate we spoke to.

The Outcome

Through 2 dedicated FJ recruiters, we were able to successfully provide Axios with 2 senior sales candidate, within the space of 1 month of each other.

Since then, Finlay James have continued to work with Axios in other business unit areas in multiple locations.
