Managing Consultant - UK & Europe
After graduating in 2014 with a degree in Business Management, I worked in a small office for in a slow paced role and was bored at the lack of progression and opportunity. I decided to look for a faster paced career.
A year later, and relocation from a small village in Suffolk to Manchester, a career with Finlay James started as a Talent Consultant responsible for the development of new business opportunities.
1 year into the job, and after winning Rookie of the Year, I was promoted to Team Leader with 2 brilliant consultants in my team, another promotion followed 6 months on to a full Managing Consultant.
In my first year of management, I was in charge of the Business Development team based out of Manchester and grew from a team of 3 to a team of 5. We also finished the year as the top performing team in the business (percentage against target) which was a huge achievement and a great incentive followed.
The fast pace and progression continues as I have now taken on a bigger opportunity and a relocation back down south to take over the London office and a team of 9, following the departure of the branch manager who left to assist the opening our San Francisco office.
