Our key strength is ‘splitting up’ our core roles to create maximum expertise in each area of the recruitment process.
The FJA Account Manager is an expert in the delivery of job specifications from committed clients.
When the FJA Account Manager has identified that a vacancy exists, he will work WITH the client to formulate a detailed job specification. This is done by asking pertinent questions which will give the account manager the capability to formulate a comprehensive description of the requirement. It is then the role of the account manager to inform all consultants as to the nature of the requirement.
When dealing with clients all Finlay James Account Managers must adhere to our strict Client Code of Practice (PDF - 25 KB). This again ensures that stringent quality levels are maintained.
Our consultants are experts in sourcing, vetting and managing candidate relationships. They will only approach a company when a candidate closely matches their specifications. Of course, all dealings with our consultants are entirely confidential and always in accordance with our strict Code of Practice.
The FJA consultant will ask the candidate a multitude of questions to qualify suitability and will collate the information on his traditional 'card', which will act as his tool to source a suitable opportunity.

Our Account Managers deliver quality client opportunities and our consultants deliver quality candidates. Both work together to ensure a close match between company and candidate requirements in our regular meetings.
Our quality approach ensures that the consultant who met the candidate concerned will call the client in person to ensure that we do not waste the client's time with mismatches.
The cient will then recieve a detailed candidate profile based on the candidate's own CV and the consultant's interview notes. Click Here to view a sample Candidate Profile.
At Finlay James we do not just set up interviews and then sit back and wait for the placements to happen. Instead we ensure that both candidate and client have access to an expert in the ‘delivery’ part of the recruitment process.
The FJA Branch Manager has the responsibility of ensuring delivery. Delivery of the candidate to the client and delivery of the opportunity to the candidate.
The FJA Branch manager has placed hundreds of candidates before and can ensure delivery of the right skills, within budget. Candidates too will benefit from expert advice, assistance and preparation to ensure that the time of the client, the candidate or FJA is not wasted.
We can give candidates access to advice and assistance with preparation. Often we can provide the candidate with detailed information about the company and the point of contact they will be meeting with to ensure that it is a well qualified meeting. We are always looking for a good match and to ensure that we do not waste the time of the client, the candidate and Finlay James.
We have a proven track record of securing the services of candidates even when their services are being sought elsewhere. We work in partnership with the client to ensure that the right skills are acquired within budget.
‘Quality, Expertise and Delivery’ are fundamental values to Finlay James. We appreciate that to attract quality candidates you need to be dealing with quality opportunities and vice-versa. We understand the necessity of providing expertise at all stages of the recruitment process to ensure that we can deliver to both candidate and client.
